FashionChicago: Shop Chicago’s Top Designers Under One Roof

If you’re wondering what Chicago fashion has to offer and interested in checking out over 30 local designers all at once, there is an upcoming event you do not want to miss!

On May 4, will host FashionChicago, a shopping event at the Museum of Broadcast Communications (360 N. State Street) that will showcase 30 of the best Chicago-based designers while serving up cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.

The list of designers includes some of my personal favorites: SWABY (by Project Runway Canada contestant Shernett Swaby), Model 29 (the diffusion line by Shernett Swaby), RÜCH (feminine dresses for every woman), and Nomadic Ant (one-of-a-kind, handmade jewelry).

In addition to the five-hour-long shopping event, there will be a runway show – The Art of Fashion – that will feature Chicago’s well-known designers Barbara Bates (of Fashion Star fame), Lara Miller (the local queen of sustainable clothing), Borris Powell (winner of the 2011 Oscar dress challenge) and more.

Tickets for FashionChicago are $25. The Art of Chicago runway tickets, which also grants admission into FashionChicago, are $45 for general admission and $95 for VIP.  Keep in mind that VIP also includes guaranteed runway seating, a StyleChicago signature goodie bag and complimentary entry into the after party.

To purchase tickets and view the full list of participating designers, visit the Ticket Page. Then, clear your schedule on Friday evening and head over to the FashionChicago event to submerge yourself in Chicago fashion and have good time.
