I’ll admit it: I’m not a children’s theater person, but I’ve heard a lot of great things about Pinkalicious, Emerald City Theatre’s hit production of this fun-loving musical based on the popular book by Elizabeth and Victoria Kann. The show keeps extending, and I just got a press release that it’s now playing through May 27. Wow!
From press notes:
“‘Can’t I have just one more?’ When Pinkalicious eats one too many pink cupcakes, she catches a case of Pinkititis and turns pink from head to toe! It’ll take the wisdom of her broccoli-eating little brother to help her get out of this predicament. Join Emerald City at Broadway in Chicago’s Broadway Playhouse on Michigan Avenue for the full Emerald City experience—preshow activity, an outstanding performance, and a chance to meet the characters after the show! Pinkalicious: The Musical is best suited for cupcake lovers ages 3 and up, and is located just steps from American Girl Place. All dolls are welcome to attend!”
So, if you find yourself in the loop and want to rest your feet and entertain the kids, check out this delightful-sounding production at the Broadway Playhouse located in Water Tower Place. More info and tickets here >
