Sylvia Fowles is leading more than just the Chicago Sky this year.
Fowles, a center in her fourth season in the WNBA, was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season for the week of Aug. 8-14 after scoring 75 points in three games.

She also ranks second in the league averaging 10.0 rebounds per game, while leading the WNBA in shooting percentage (58.4%) and blocked shots per game (2.1). Fowles is a strong candidate for the WNBA’s MVP Award this year.
